He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Northwestern University in Chicago working along side doctors for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Dr. Kodali then completed advanced training in orthopaedic sports medicine focusing on minimally invasive surgery of the knee and shoulder at the internationally recognized Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

As an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Kodali’s goal is to return competitive athletes, weekend warriors, and patients of all ages to their previous level of activity. Dr. Kodali will use a multidisciplinary conservative approach with methods such as pharmacological therapy, physical or occupational therapy, injections, or bracing to help achieve this goal. Surgery is sometimes needed but often used in patients who fail these conservative measures.
