Steven D. Levin, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Chicago specialist in arthroscopic surgical treatment of shoulder, knee and elbow injuries. Dr. Levin, a graduate of Northwestern University, went on to complete his orthopaedic residency at SUNY Buffalo in 1993. He then completed his Sports Medicine and Shoulder Fellowship at the prestigious Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in 1994. Dr. Levin has served as Assistant Team Physician for the Buffalo Bills, and currently serves as team orthopaedic surgeon for the USA National Rugby Team. Dr. Levin is an avid handball player and serves as a consultant to the United States Handball Association, (USHA).

Dr. Levin won the 2007 James K. Stack, MD, Teacher of the Year Award, given to the best faculty orthopaedic attending physician/teacher at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He also won the 2012 Neer Award given to the author of the best research paper at the American Shoulder and Elbow Society Annual Meeting. Dr. Levin is Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Levin has a special interest in patients with complex shoulder issues including dislocation, rotator cuff, AC joint, and arthritis. He has a high volume practice in shoulder replacement and reverse arthroplasty surgery. He also concentrates on ACL, meniscus, cartilage surgery and elbow arthroscopy.
