Dr Dominic Moon completed his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney in 1990.
He undertook surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, Sydney obtaining his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of surgeons in 1999, in general surgery.
He was appointed Breast Surgical fellow at the NSW Breast Cancer Institute at Westmead hospital application of new technologies including image-guided breast biopsy and sentinel node surgery.
He undertook sub-speciality training in the management of breast cancer, and a role in the application of new technologies including image guided breast biopsy and sentinel node surgery.
He was appointed staff specialist at Westmead Hospital in Breast and Surgical Oncology and Visiting Medical Officer at Breast Screen and Auburn Hospitals.
He has had a long involvement in the management of breast disease, particularly breast cancer and works in a Multidisciplinary Setting at Westmead Hospital.
His practice has extended to include his private rooms and surgery at Westmead Private Hospital.
Currently he is developing skills in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and symmetrisation procedures.
He also has extensive experience in thyroid surgery, laparoscopic gallbladder and laparoscopic hernia surgery.
