Dr. Saliman is a sports medicine and arthroscopy-trained orthopaedic surgeon maintaining an active practice at the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center in Los Angeles, California. He specializes in joint-preserving treatment of injuries to the shoulder, hip and knee.

Dr. Saliman completed a sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University / SOAR in Palo Alto where he provided care for the San Francisco 49ers and for the Stanford University and Santa Clara University athletic teams. His residency in orthopaedic surgery was completed at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University in New York City. He earned his medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in his hometown of Denver.

Dr. Saliman is at the forefront of innovation in developing minimally invasive devices, implants and techniques to repair injured or degenerative joints. His present focus is on designing novel techniques that decrease pain, repair anatomy and improve function in the shoulder, hip and knee. Dr. Saliman invented a revolutionary meniscus repair device for which he founded the start-up Ceterix Orthopaedics, Inc. with top Bay Area medical venture partners. He has significant experience in using the device to repair tears that have been classically considered difficult or impossible to repair. Dr. Saliman utilizes the most modern all-arthroscopic techniques for treatment of large, small and partial rotator cuff tears to optimize patient outcomes and minimize rehabilitation times. Dr. Saliman has published articles in various journals such as The American Journal of Sports Medicine, Topics in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Annals of Biomedical Engineering. He is board certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
