Associate Professor Andrew Bucknill, VIC

Head of the Orthopaedic Unit at the Royal Melbourne Hospital,  I have an interest in hip and knee surgery as well as pelvic trauma. Working exclusively at the Royal Melbourne site, I have driven forwards the orthopaedic improvement plan to re-organise and develop the unit to improve quality of care and training.

I was chair of the Steering committee for state-wide implementation of the Victorian Orthopaedic Waiting List Project (OA Hip and Knee Service).
Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, I am active in research and teaching. I review scientific articles for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and am faculty on the internationally-renowned AO courses for fracture management.
