Longview Orthopedic Associates WA

Longview Orthopedic Associates (LOA) is a single-specialty medical practice devoted to orthopedic surgery and fracture care. Our skilled staff has more than 100 years of combined experience. Located in Longview, Washington, Longview Orthopedic Associates serves an area that includes approximately 100,000 residents.

Founded in 1983 by Longview native Dr. Bruce Blackstone, the practice now includes seven physicians – Blackstone, Dave Black, Bill Turner, Jon Kretzler, Eric Hansen, Peter Kung, and A. J. Lauder – who handle a wide range of orthopedic sub-specialties. The staff also includes PA-C’s David Maligro and Emily Forsyth.

“The thing I’m most proud of is our 25 years of dedicated service to the community,” Blackstone said. He pointed to the group’s record of speaking at educational forums and volunteering to provide medical services for local high school, college, and community athletic events. For 23 years, LOA physicians were the primary providers of emergency room service to area patients in need of orthopedic care.

Specializing in joint replacement, arthroscopy, sports medicine care, and hand, foot, and ankle surgery, the physicians at LOA have introduced new surgical procedures to the community and constantly updated their training and credentials, so that patients have access to the most modern and most effective treatment options.

LOA physicians handle nearly 20,000 patient visits each year and perform more than 1,500 surgical procedures.

“We’ve been around long enough to develop relationships with our patients and understand their needs,” Turner said. “We also know who in the medical community is best at providing the specific services our patients require.”

Previously located on Delaware Street in Longview, LOA moved to Pacific Surgical Institute on 9th Avenue in June 2006. The state-of-the-art facility includes a clinical laboratory, imaging center, outpatient surgery center, and physical therapy complex. As a result, patients can receive everything from diagnosis to rehabilitation services at one convenient location.

If you need orthopedic care, contact LOA for an appointment at 1 (360) 501-3400. No referral from your primary care physician is required.
