In 1985, Oak Cliff Orthopaedic Associates (OCOA) was founded by Dr. Phil Berry and Dr. Antonio Arazoza. Dr. Berry has practiced at Methodist Dallas Medical Center since 1971. The group, now known as Texas Orthopaedic Surgical Associates (TOSA), is comprised of six orthopaedic surgeons and one podiatrist, to have a full spectrum of musculoskeletal care. Dr. Miguel A. Hernandez III joined the group in 1997 and Dr. Ray F. Aronowitz joined the group in 1998. They both are general orthopaedic surgeons. Dr. David Heck, joint reconstruction specialist, joined in 2007. In 2008, Dr. Jon Nathanson, podiatrist, joined the group. Dr. Zachary Kelley, spine surgeon, and Dr. Alexander Cho, shoulder specialist, join the group in 2009. In 2012, Dr. Jason Lowry, hip, knee and shoulder reconstruction specialist joined the group.

All seven staff orthopaedic surgeons are Board Certified or Board Eligible, by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, meaning they have exhibited their knowledge in the field by passing written and oral examinations given by eminent orthopaedists around the country. Those who are Board Eligible will soon take this testing to become Board Certified. Dr. Nathanson has over 20 years of podiatric experience in the military.
