Dr. Jason Young, a St. Louis native, received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Young then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.  During his time in Chicago, Dr. Young participated in the care of Lewis University as well as Loyola University athletics.

Following residency, Dr. Young completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado.  His fellowship focused on the treatment of injuries to the shoulder, elbow, and knee with special emphasis on rotator cuff disorders, cartilage procedures, labral repair, and ligament reconstruction of both the knee and elbow.

During his tenure in Denver, Dr. Young assisted as team physician for the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. In addition, Dr. Young participated as an orthopaedic medical examiner at the 2011 NFL Combine. Dr. Young continues to participate in research related to sports injury. He has presented his work nationally, which has resulted in published journal articles and book chapters.

Brian Forsythe M.D.Orthopedic Surgeon Specialist-West Harrison Street Chicago

Dr. Forsythe is a board certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive techniques in sports medicine, arthroscopicshoulder, knee and elbow surgery, as well as shoulder replacement surgery. His patient care philosophy centers on communication and accessibility. He believes that patients come first in the patient-doctor relationship, and that clinical problem solving begins with careful listening, observation, and examination. Ultimately, the goal is to return patients and athletes to the highest levels of activity and competition through specialized treatments or surgery.

His practice includes arthroscopic shoulder instability, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder replacement surgery. He also focuses on knee ligament reconstruction (ACL/PCL), patellofemoral realignment, resurfacing and cartilage repair. Dr. Forsythe also performs ankleand elbow arthroscopy, as well as proximal hamstring tendon repairs.

After graduating from medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Forsythe pursued his surgical training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgical Residency Program. He then completed subspecialty training in Shoulder and Sports Medicine Surgery at the world-renowned University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Center for Sports Medicine. Dr. Forsythe has since been actively involved in education and surgical training of surgical residents, fellows, and practicing orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Forsythe is currently a team physician for U.S. Soccer which involves international competitions. His former team coverage includes the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL) Chicago Bears training camp, Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) and the New England Revolution Soccer (MLS). He has also served as team physician for numerous high schools and universities.

In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Forsythe is actively involved with numerous research activities. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush and he has authored dozens of scientific publications, book chapters, and abstracts. Furthermore, his work has been presented at national meetings and his manuscripts have been published in the most highly regarded orthopedic journals. He serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the orthopedic journal, Arthroscopy.

Dr. Forsythe’s athletic interests have helped define his career goals. He played Division 1 soccer at Brown University and he still enjoys playing, when not spending time with his wife and growing family.

Randall D Alexander MD Board certified Surgeon Hand Shoulder & Elbow surgery Atlanta GA

Dr. Alexander received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of South Carolina.

He then travelled abroad to learn from renowned experts in the fields of shoulder and hand surgery. This included time with Dr. Christian Gerber in Zurich, Switzerland; Dr. Gilles Walch in Lyon, France; and Dr. Marc Garcia-Elias in Barcelona, Spain. To broaden his pediatric experience, he then spent three months with Dr. Marybeth Ezaki at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, TX. He completed his specialty training with a year-long fellowship in hand, shoulder and elbow surgery at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

Following that, he joined his current practice with Georgia Hand, Shoulder and Elbow in Atlanta, GA. He has been with the practice for ten years and has enjoyed being part of a true center of excellence.

Dr. Alexander is Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Surgery of the Hand. He is a Clinical Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University.
