Dr. Kothari completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University with a major in Anthropology and a concentration in Women’s Studies. She then went on to perform research in Eating Disorders at Hunter College/CUNY with an affiliation to Cornell Medical Center. She completed Medical School at Ross University and did her Adult Psychiatry Training at University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Hospitals. Subsequently, she completed Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Kothari’s professional interests include Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, and Women’s issues as well as the relationship between Mental Health and Weight Loss. She has been practicing in Boca Raton since 2005 and offers services of psychiatric evaluation and medication management. She has dedicated her practice to treating individuals with a wide range of psychiatric illness. Her approach is a comprehensive evaluation, which incorporates various perspectives of illness; including biological/personality/cognitive/dimensional traits, behavioral and psychosocial stressors.

In addition, she serves as a consulting psychiatrist for Dr. Kahlil Shillingford’s Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Practice. Her duties include providing clinical supervision to office and hospital staff and involvement with support and education to patients. Dr. Pearlman was born in Washington D.C., and raised in Colorado where he earned his medical degree. Dr. McCormick obtained his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy where he performed his surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, followed by serving as an F-18 Fighter Jet Flight Surgeon for United States Marine Corp VMFA-314 squadron. Subsequently, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program where he was selected as a Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the world-renown Rush Sports Medicine Fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Bernard Bach Jr. Recently, he completed the prestigious International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS) Sanofi travelling fellowship in joint preservation and cartilage regeneration.

Dr. McCormick has achieved regional, national and international recognition for his clinical research endeavors. He is an award winning lead or co-author of over 16 studies in the last five years. He is a co-author on the paper that won the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) J. Whit research prize, a co-author on the best paper prize at the European SECEC/ESSSE annual meeting, and is the lead author for the 2011 International Society of Arthroscopy and Knee Orthopedic Surgery (ISAKOS) John Joyce Award, which goes to the top paper from a resident or fellow in sports medicine across the globe. He has written over 50 peer-reviewed papers published in top orthopedic and sports medicine journals while speaking at regional, national or international conferences over 100 times.

Dr. McCormick is currently commissioned as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He has also served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls (NBA), Chicago White Sox (MLB), and Depaul University (Division I) Mmen’s and women’s basketball and soccer teams. He has also provided medical care for the New England Patriots (NFL).

Dr. McCormick currently has an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include the clinical outcome assessments of novel minimally invasive biological approaches to early arthritis, joint instability, cellular, organ and stem cell transplantation. Mr Ajis completed his higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in Cheshire/Merseyside, culminating in achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons FRCS (Tr & Orth). Here he developed an interest in foot & ankle surgery and was awarded a place on one of the most sought after and highly regarded international foot & ankle training fellowships at the Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction in the USA with Dr Mark Myerson. Following this, further fellowship training was undertaken with one of the most experienced foot & ankle surgeons in the UK, Mr Nicholas Geary. Being dual fellowship trained has meant that Mr Ajis is familiar with the latest cutting edge treatments with experience in complex foot & ankle reconstruction surgery, ankle replacement surgery, revision (re-do) ankle replacement surgery, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) for the foot and for the ankle, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy, extra corporeal shockwave therapy, sports injuries, enhanced recovery regimes as well as bunion and lesser toe surgery.
Teaching & Research

Throughout his career Mr Ajis has maintained a keen interest in research. Starting at medical school he was successful in gaining a Bachelor in Medical Science degree with honours BMedSc (Hons Physiol) in addition to his medical degree MBChB. Primarily motivated by a desire to add to the field of foot & ankle surgery, Mr Ajis has published a large number of research papers in high impact factor peer reviewed journals including review articles and book chapters. He has represented his specialty on a national level at the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) UK.

Throughout his career Mr Ajis has won a number of prizes and awards for academic distinctions and travelling fellowships. He has delivered many educational presentations to surgeons at local, national and international meetings. he has led many audit projects that have resulted in safer surgery, improved patient outcomes and a significantly better patient experience. Mr Ajis constantly monitors his own practice keeping up to date, recording patient outcomes and acting on patient feedback.

Mr Ajis is an enthusiastic educator. He is an interviewer and examiner at Brighton & Sussex Medical School and is involved with training the next generation of doctors from medical students to senior registrars. He is also a faculty member on a number of training courses in foot & ankle surgery held throughout the country.

During leisure time Mr Ajis enjoys playing tennis and Formula One motorsport. As an established National Trust member he is steadily making his way around all the different properties with his wife.

He bases his management of orthopaedic conditions on the best scientific evidence available, together with state of the art equipment and techniques. Together with a dedicated team of sports physicians, musculoskeletal radiologists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, and podiatrists, Mr Gordon offers a comprehensive approach to the care of foot, ankle and knee conditions.  He sees over 600 new patients annually and performs over 400 procedures per year.

Training

Mr David Gordon is a fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in foot, ankle and knee surgery as well as trauma. He is on the UK General Medical Council Specialist Register. He was raised in London and qualified from Liverpool Medical School. His 6 years specialist training took place in London, including the famous Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, where he also spent an additional 2 years undertaking research, being awarded a Higher Postgraduate Medical Doctorate (MD).
Gold Medal

In recognition for his work on developing revolutionary amputation prosthesis at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Mr Gordon was awarded one of the highest accolades in British Orthopaedics, the prestigious Robert Jones Gold Medal and British Orthopaedic Association Prize.
Fellowships

Mr Gordon was selected to undertake 2 sought after fellowships with world leading surgeons in Sydney, Australia. He spent a year learning state of the art techniques and developing his skills in foot and ankle sports and complex reconstructive surgery and sports knee surgery. Upon his return, he underwent a trauma fellowship at The Royal London Hospital Trauma Centre, treating the most complex, severely injured patients.

Mr Gordon’s interests are treatment of foot, ankle and knee conditions in particular sports injuries (tendon, ligament, cartilage, fractures) and arthroscopy (keyhole). He performs hallux valgus (bunion) and toe deformity corrections as well as knee, ankle and toe joint replacements.

Mr Gordon is committed to advancing the future of orthopaedic surgery by investigating both established and new technologies and techniques. He holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at University College London (UCL) where he lectures and conducts research. His interests include ankle instability (recurrent sprains), cartilage regeneration, hallux valgus (bunions) and patient satisfaction. Personal Background

Mr Gordon lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and 3 children. He is an avid cyclist and escapes to the countryside roads most Sunday mornings, come rain or shine. As an ex University player, Mr Gordon enjoys watching rugby and having hand built a Westfield sports car, he follows Formula 1 passionately. His perfect holiday is skiing with the family.
