The Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery

The Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery
The Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery, in alignment with Orthopaedic Specialists of Austin, strives to explore the most innovative and minimally invasive treatments available for hips and knees. With multiple ongoing clinical research projects, Dr. David Dodgin and Dr. E. Matthew Heinrich are in tune with the latest and most effective technologies and techniques on the market today. Here, at the Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery, we recognize importance of clinical research in order to ensure the sustainability of medical advancements throughout the World for generations to come. Our research patients have the unique opportunity to directly support this mission while gaining a deep understanding of their own progress after their surgical procedure.

All studies performed at the Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery are thoroughly reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board prior to the enrollment of any patient. This board ensures our research projects are FDA compliant and that the rights of all involved patients are upheld to the fullest extent. Descriptions of each trial performed at the Texas Institute for Hip & Knee Surgery will be available upon request.

Jason K. Lowry, MD
Hip, Knee & Shoulder Surgeon

I am here to serve you! My goal is to deliver high quality, evidence-based orthopaedic care to get you back on your feet and enjoying life again. Your road to recovery cannot be done alone. As your Orthopaedic Surgeon, I see myself as the coach of OUR team, which includes you (the patient), your family, therapists, nurses, & physician assistants. My main focus is to educate you about your symptoms, diagnoses & treatment options, so you can make informed decisions about your health care. Non-operative management with a team-based approach is successful for the majority of your orthopaedic pain. However, when surgery is the only option, I feel fortunate to have learned and trained under leaders in the field of joint preservation, replacement & revision. As such, my approach is based on sound, surgical fundamentals that incorporate newer methods in joint preservation techniques & tissue-sparing technologies to hasten your recovery, decrease your pain, & decrease the risk of surgery. I am passionate about the anterior approach for hip replacement because it can decrease your hospital stay, which dramatically decreases postoperative risk. I am honoured to be associated with Dr. Phil Berry in offering this procedure to our patients at Methodist. I look forward to continuing his tradition of excellence by always being available to you (my patients) and giving you a new lease on life.

Balmain Mall Dental Surgery Sydney

Balmain Mall Dental Surgery:

Dr Robert S Sebel
BDS (SYD.), MDSc (SYD.)

I was born in Sydney in March 1960. I grew up in Mosman and attended Sydney Grammar High School.  I represented my school in cricket and rugby, but surfing was my real passion. My parents also thought travelling should be part of my education, so I was extremely lucky to visit places like The Philippines, Israel, Japan, Kashmir, Nepal and Thailand in the 60’s and 70’s.
After graduation from High School, I followed my father and entered dentistry at Sydney University.  I graduated from Sydney University with a special interest in Preventative, Public Health and Community Dentistry, thanks to Professor Barnard. I spent several months of several years pre and post graduate, working for The Queens Dental Service of Thailand, in a charitable capacity. Dental treatment was provided to Hill Tribes and schools in remote areas of North and North Western Thailand, as well as dental education and promotion.
I began full time work in 1984 at the Dental Practice my father had established in Balmain in the early 1950’s. In fact, it was one of the first Dental Practice’s in the area and I still see some of his patients. In 1993 I left full time Dentistry, travelled vastly, and in 1994 I enrolled in a full time Masters of Public Health Dentistry degree at Sydney University. I post graduated in 1996, and returned to full time practice in Balmain in 1997.
I give Dental education talks to Preschools and Primary Schools in my work and living areas, as a Community Dentistry focus. I have 3 great children and a wonderful wife. Surfing and the garden are my therapies.

Northwest Women's Center Houston, Texas

Northwest Women's Center

At Northwest Women’s Center it is our goal to provide the highest standard of health care and to help you be as informed as possible about protecting and preserving your most precious asset… your health!
At Northwest Women's Center, our providers are part of an expert team dedicated to quality medicine and personal attention.  Our team is backed by superb resources, sophisticated technology, and the most knowledgeable and responsive staff available.
You're a woman; you need a doctor who specializes in women's medicine. You need Northwest Women’s Center. Our unique practice is staffed by specialists in all aspects of women's medicine, including gynecology, obstetrics and state-of-the-art surgical medicine.

Northwest Women’s Center
was founded in 1991, by Dr. Dudley D. Baker IV and Dr. Marlon D. White. At this time the practice was GYN only, and Dr. Baker and Dr. White had a vision of adding more providers and other related women’s services for a comprehensive women's center.
In 1997, Dr. Stacy Norton joined the practice to assist with the tremendous volume and exponential growth of Northwest Women’s Center.  Women in Northwest Houston were delighted that there was a physician group so committed to excellence in Women’s Healthcare, and Dr. Norton was a welcome addition to the group, and became a partner in 2003, and was voted Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Female physician of the year in 2007.  Additionally in 2003, the group added Ultrasound to complement the women’s service offerings of Northwest Women’s Center.
Northwest Women’s Center continued it's trend of growth, and in 2000, the practice added women’s health nurse practitioner Judye Greer.  In 2001 Northwest Women’s Center made a bold and progressive move, and relocated the practice from Houston Northwest Medical Center to the newly constructed Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.  The Methodist Hospital System heavily recruited the practice to be the anchor Women’s Health provider group for obstetrics and gynecology.  With this move, the group also added bone density services to compliment its service offerings.
In 2003 Northwest Women’s Center, added Dr. Christopher McGuirk.  The practice continued its growth and firmly established itself as the leader for Women’s Healthcare in Northwest Houston.  As the growth in the Northwest corridor of Houston continued, so did the growth of the practice.  Dr. Theresa Castillo joined the group in 2006, and was named Methodist Hospital Female physician of the year for 2008.
2006 was the year that the group expanded it’s community education.  Spearheaded by Dr. Norton, and supported by Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Dr. Castillo, and 1960 Pediatrics, the semi-annual Mother Daughter Symposium was launched.  This program is a lecture style program for mothers and daughters addressing puberty, body changes, and other related topics.  The program has been well received in the community, and Northwest Women’s Center is proud to be associated with this beneficial community education.
By 2007, the group had outgrown its space in the Methodist Hospital Professional Building, and in keeping with the progressive style of the practice, the 3 partners of Northwest Women’s Centeropted to build a medical office building to house their group practice.  The move to the new space was accomplished in May of 2007, and has allowed further practice diversification through the incorporation of minor in office surgical procedures.  These services have continued to enhance the  practice, and patient satisfaction.  In keeping with their bold and cutting edge philosophy, Northwest Women’s Center became a fully electronic medical practice, utilizing laptops for all the providers and medical support staff to document in the chart at the point of care, and remaining ahead of the national technology curve for medical practices. It is this modern style that led the practice to add Chantel Ashley a certified nurse midwife in December 2007 to enhance the provider choices for their patients.
As we look toward the future, we have a healthy optimism that Northwest Women’s Center will continue to lead the field in Northwest Houston for Women’s Healthcare, and related services.  We will continue to pioneer progressive business models and ventures that will allow Northwest Women’s Center to be a longstanding player in the Houston healthcare marketplace.
