At Northwest Women’s Center it is our goal to provide the highest standard of health care and to help you be as informed as possible about protecting and preserving your most precious asset… your health!
At Northwest Women's Center, our providers are part of an expert team dedicated to quality medicine and personal attention.  Our team is backed by superb resources, sophisticated technology, and the most knowledgeable and responsive staff available.
You're a woman; you need a doctor who specializes in women's medicine. You need Northwest Women’s Center. Our unique practice is staffed by specialists in all aspects of women's medicine, including gynecology, obstetrics and state-of-the-art surgical medicine.

Northwest Women’s Center
was founded in 1991, by Dr. Dudley D. Baker IV and Dr. Marlon D. White. At this time the practice was GYN only, and Dr. Baker and Dr. White had a vision of adding more providers and other related women’s services for a comprehensive women's center.
In 1997, Dr. Stacy Norton joined the practice to assist with the tremendous volume and exponential growth of Northwest Women’s Center.  Women in Northwest Houston were delighted that there was a physician group so committed to excellence in Women’s Healthcare, and Dr. Norton was a welcome addition to the group, and became a partner in 2003, and was voted Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Female physician of the year in 2007.  Additionally in 2003, the group added Ultrasound to complement the women’s service offerings of Northwest Women’s Center.
Northwest Women’s Center continued it's trend of growth, and in 2000, the practice added women’s health nurse practitioner Judye Greer.  In 2001 Northwest Women’s Center made a bold and progressive move, and relocated the practice from Houston Northwest Medical Center to the newly constructed Methodist Willowbrook Hospital.  The Methodist Hospital System heavily recruited the practice to be the anchor Women’s Health provider group for obstetrics and gynecology.  With this move, the group also added bone density services to compliment its service offerings.
In 2003 Northwest Women’s Center, added Dr. Christopher McGuirk.  The practice continued its growth and firmly established itself as the leader for Women’s Healthcare in Northwest Houston.  As the growth in the Northwest corridor of Houston continued, so did the growth of the practice.  Dr. Theresa Castillo joined the group in 2006, and was named Methodist Hospital Female physician of the year for 2008.
2006 was the year that the group expanded it’s community education.  Spearheaded by Dr. Norton, and supported by Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Dr. Castillo, and 1960 Pediatrics, the semi-annual Mother Daughter Symposium was launched.  This program is a lecture style program for mothers and daughters addressing puberty, body changes, and other related topics.  The program has been well received in the community, and Northwest Women’s Center is proud to be associated with this beneficial community education.
By 2007, the group had outgrown its space in the Methodist Hospital Professional Building, and in keeping with the progressive style of the practice, the 3 partners of Northwest Women’s Centeropted to build a medical office building to house their group practice.  The move to the new space was accomplished in May of 2007, and has allowed further practice diversification through the incorporation of minor in office surgical procedures.  These services have continued to enhance the  practice, and patient satisfaction.  In keeping with their bold and cutting edge philosophy, Northwest Women’s Center became a fully electronic medical practice, utilizing laptops for all the providers and medical support staff to document in the chart at the point of care, and remaining ahead of the national technology curve for medical practices. It is this modern style that led the practice to add Chantel Ashley a certified nurse midwife in December 2007 to enhance the provider choices for their patients.
As we look toward the future, we have a healthy optimism that Northwest Women’s Center will continue to lead the field in Northwest Houston for Women’s Healthcare, and related services.  We will continue to pioneer progressive business models and ventures that will allow Northwest Women’s Center to be a longstanding player in the Houston healthcare marketplace.
