Hand Surgery & Rehabilitation Center, NJ

Hand surgery is a multidisciplinary subspecialty of general surgery, plastic surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Its goal is restoration of useful upper extremity function that has been compromised by congenital anomaly, acute injury, cumulative trauma, infection or degenerative disorder.

Hand surgery is a comprehensive specialty. All aspects of the upper extremity involving the skin, muscles, tendons, bones, joints, nerves and blood vessels are within the expertise of the hand surgeon.

All of the hand surgeons at Hand Surgery and Rehabilitation Center of New Jersey are Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeons. They have also completed one additional year of Fellowship Training in Hand Surgery. They have received the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

The treatments used by our hand surgeons may be surgical or nonsurgical. After a comprehensive evaluation of the problem, a full explanation of treatment options is given to the patient.

Surgery may require sophisticated microsurgery, repair of fractures, tendon and nerve lacerations, arthroscopy, reconstructive procedures, arthroplasties or joint fusions.
