New Medical Centre in Mt Gambier

In August 2010, a single doctor moved from a country NSW to Mount Gambier and started a small medical practice.

The practice included 2 full-time doctors and one administration staff member.

With the community of Mount Gambier welcoming and embracing the new medical practice, the practice expanded.

In February 2011, the practice relocated to a larger purpose-built premise in Gadens Village.

Special Interest Doctors

Village Medical Centre now has 4 full-time medical practitioners with specialist interests in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, skin cancer surgery, emergency medicine, diabetes care, and mental health management. It also has 2 experienced registered nurses, one of which is also a registered midwife with hospital and general practice experience. Angela Cutting recently won an award for Best Practice Nurses in Australia.

The Village Medical Centre employees 4 administration staff to ensure the medical staff and patients receive the best possible support.

Village Medical Centre currently provides full comprehensive medical care to all the patients attending. As more needs arrive, Village Medical Centre and staff adapt, making short-, medium- and long-term plans to continue to provide the high standard of care it prides itself in providing to its valued patients.

Village Medical Centre operates as a paperless practice, utilising state-of-the-art computer and internet technologies. All billings, transactions with Medicare and all financial transactions are performed online using secure encrypted methods.
