Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is an exciting new treatment for arthritic joints. Blood is drawn from a patient and processed to concentrate the platelets and other healing factors. This concentrated PRP is injected under US guidance into the affected joint. 80% of eligible arthritis patients are successfully treated with PRP injection instead of joint replacement surgery.
